Choosing the Wrong

Choosing the wrong can be so easy some times. When I was little I found out where my parents had hid Larisa’s and my gifts. I decided to tell Larisa where they were. I was going to have her go and see them and then she would tell me what they were. She got caught in the act and she got in trouble. She said that I had told her where the gifts were and had also told her to go look at them and then tell me what I got. I managed to get her to believe that I had no part in it and it was a figment of her imagination. I have regretted that for a long time. But at the time it was so easy.

The Sunflower

A man was walking down the road, and up to some dull ground. Where nothing was growing, all it was was a plot of ground with rocks, clay and soil. The previous week, he planted roses and other flowers right next to the dull ground that he’s at now. He had a small bag with him that was filled with seeds. Theses seeds where special, they where sunflower seeds. He threw these seeds on the ground and watered them so they would grow. I would often come and watch him. He would sit on a rock every day and talk to the sunflowers. He knew the sunflowers so well that he could understand what they said to him, if they chose to speak to him. I sat and watched them one day and found that unlike the other flowers the sunflower followed the sun. The gardener approached me with his can to water the flowers like he always did. I asked what does the flowers say to him. He said that some asked what they needed to do and some complained that they where not as pretty as the roses and others thank him for the many things he did for them. The years past and some died some never grew, some where eaten by birds, others were taken away by natural cases because they let go, some where over powered by weeds and the few that survived they produced seeds that way others could take their place.

How Can Veterans Benefit Our Youth Today

Today in this country we need heroes. People that have risked a lot of things for their country and maybe even there lives. People that have inspiring stories to tell. Most people think that we don’t have true heroes, but they are all around us, in our neighborhoods, in our churches and working regular jobs but most people don’t notice them, because they don’t look for them. Our youth today need veterans to inspire them, to teach them, to help, and to be their hero.
I knew a veteran once he never served on the battlefield but he is my hero. He would tell us inspiring stories and through those stories he would inspire me to do things for our country. People often wonder what our youth need. What they need is true heroes. Not a pop or a movie star because they are not true heroes. True heroes would be some one that cares about the country and the people in the country. A veteran fits that profile, so they are heroes.
Veterans help write history for the youth to read. The youth needs some one to look up to and some of those people are veterans. The reason they inspire is because they fight for a cause larger than themselves. They are great leaders through their actions. They are selfless, helpful and many more things. They go into war and give all they got but they come out with so much more. Through their stories they inspire many to do great things. The veterans benefit the youth by providing them with a safe country and people to look up to.
Veterans help our nation through service to our country and they help our youth in many ways. They inspire me to study hard so I might be a great leader some day. This is why veterans are my heroes.

No Title

I stare in horror
At the pages of my history book
I see all the wars
All the sorrow
That happened in the past
I wish that I could go back and stop it from happening
I know it’s impossible
I should keep studying
All the wars in the past
But so hard to see all the horror that lies there
In the past
In the civil war
The town watched the first battle
It is truly a miracle that the country survived
The war of the south must have been good
For it won the war
If you look at the past of this country
It is clear to see that are country would not exist if it wasn’t for God

Benjamin Franklin’s Childhood

He is famous for his newspaper and the kite and the key. His father made soap. He did not like the trade. He longed for the sea, but his father had lost one of his sons to the sea. He was an unusual boy in Boston. One day he amused his self by flying a kite. Then he tied the kite to a stick that was stuck in the ground. Then he went swimming. After a while he got kind of bored watching his kite so he got the kite down. He then held on to it and laid on his back. He learned by doing this the kite would pull him gently across the lake. So he told a boy to take his clothes to the other side of the lake. The boy did as Benjamin Franklin said to. He then got the kite and he laid on his back. He made it to the other side of the lake in no time safe and sound.

Is It Ever Wrong To Follow the Law, and If So, When and Why?

Yes, depending on the circumstances. If the law said that you could not have a religion then it’s fine to not follow the law. Or if it takes away your god given rights then I think it’s our right to not follow the law. In the Civil War and before then they broke the law to give the slaves their god given rights and their freedom. And we broke the law when we fought for our independence. If the law is wrong and goes against the commandments, then it is not wrong to break it. But you only break the law as a last resort.

The Bermuda Triangle

The Bermuda Triangle is also known as the Devil’s Triangle
The Bermuda Triangle is very interesting thing. It is said that many ships and airplanes go in but never come out. Some people said that in and near the Bermuda Triangle there’s lots of disappearances, when in actually is the same amount all over the world. Another interesting thing is that it is one of the only two places in the world that if you take a compass there it will point to true north. The USS Cyclops vanished in the Bermuda Triangle, it was a large ship that held 306 passengers and crew. Nobody has found a survivor, some debris or a body from the ship. There has also been airplanes that disappeared there, like flit 19. Five of the airplanes that disappeared they had radioed just before they vanished. The radio repot that they sent before they vanished said that they where lost. That was the last thing that anyone had herd of them. There was no debris found by the search parties. The last time that there was a disappearance that I could find was in 2001, they found a survivor from that one. It did not say rather it was a plan or a ship that disappeared in 2001.

Is Secession Constitutional?

I think that it depends on the circumstance. For example if congress were to pass a law that was unjust then I think they have the right to secession, or if the president decided during war to use the US troops for himself then I think that they have a right to Secession. Another is if the constitutional is no longer followed. Otherwise I think they have no right to secession. I think that right now they have the right to secession because they past a law that is unconstitutional in my opinion.

How do you make a decision?

I make many decisions every day in many different ways. Like every day I make the decision to get up in the morning. How I make that decision is I think that I must eat. Other ways I make decision is depending on what benefits me. Here’s a story of when I chose to do what benefits me to guide my decision. We where watching a move and I was saying what my favorite part was, when I messed up what I was saying. Instead of starting all over and looking like an idiot. So I said that kissing was dads favorite part. It got me out of looking like an idiot and I thought that it was not going to come back around but I was wrong. Two years later it came back around. Instead of my siblings saying Dad’s favorite part when people are kissing they say Alexa’s favorite part. And to this day they still do it. I also guide my decision by thinking what Christ would do. I go around and comment on every one every day because I think that Christ commented on others. In church one day as my mom and I were going home a lady was talking with my mom. I told the lady that here scarf was very pretty. I found out that she had knitted it. The following week I took my sisters home right after church. But my mom and Larisa stayed to tell my dad something. Well as they where siting that same lady came up to my mom. She told her that since I had liked her scarf so much, she had made me one. Now I often wear it to Polar Star in the winter. I have often commented on people’s hair and shoes and things. I do not expect anything in return and occasionally they will tell me that made them so happy. And occasionally they give me something in return for making their day. If you look at my two examples you will see when I think of others then good things happen and when I think of myself bad things happen.

My likes and dislikes

Is there some thing that you hate?
I hate when people tell me that I can’t do something. I also hate when people try to set people up.
I don’t have any animals that I hate, but I hate when my sisters put ice cubes down my back.
I like any sport besides softball. If you ask me to play then you can count me out. I like to sing. Just this last summer I went to BYU and met the Young Ambassador and went to their camp. I also love to ballroom dance. I also like to read. I love to climb trees, well actually, I like climbing anything. I also like prickly pears. For those that don’t know what that is, it is the fruit of cactus. It is as sweet as candy.
