Roller Coaster Tycoon

We have this game that is called Roller Coaster Tycoon. We have the first one the second and the third. It is interesting to me that the first and second one all the people look the same and in the third, they don’t look the same. My favorite one is Roller Coaster Tycoon Three. You can build roller coasters and then ride them. There are a few things that I wish the third one had. Like one that me and my mom miss, is that you can’t drown people. We have bought the add on for Roller Coaster Tycoon Three. One is where you can have animals and the other lets you have swimming pools.

IF

If I where going to write a book on my life. It would be called 150 was to fold laundry.
If I were 16 right now then I would go to my granddads and work for a car.
If I had five hundred and fifty dollars I would get a horse.
If I were 22 I would be going on a mission.
If I could pick any collage in the world to go to, I would go to B.Y.U.
If I was 25 and I had a million dollars and I was out of debt, I would buy 20 to 40 acres and build a house and start a ranch.

How Do You Plan to Pay Back Your Ancestors and Preserve Freedom?

I will strive to develop my talents. I will preserve the constitution the best I can. I WILL NOT BE A Stupid VOTER! I will learn about my countries past. I will not catch the politically correct disease. I will not be corrupted or bribed. I will study history and learn.

Who is the best leader Brutus, Cassius, or Antony?

I could not choose Antony, because he tried to cut what the people where getting from Caesar’s will. And therefore I could not pick him because whats to stop him from cheating the people.
I could not pick Brutus because he betrayed his friend that led to his friends’ death. If he is willing to betray and kill his friend then whats to stop him from killing his followers that he doesn’t know.
I could not pick Cassius because he’s a whiner. If he was the leader then he would whine all the time.
But sense I have to pick one I would pick Cassius because he would not do anything. So I would not have to fear that I would be cheated or killed. And besides why he’s complaining I could take charge of it.
I think anyone in Polar Star could do a better job than these three jokers!

Life of Harriet Tubman

Harriet Tubman
Harriet Tubman was believed to be born in 1820 the place of birth is believed to be in born in Dorchester County, Maryland. No one knows the exact month or day of her birth because they did not keep careful records of slave’s births. Harriet herself, did not know the day of her birth, she did not even know how old she was. Harriet Tubman’s name at birth was Araminta Ross. She died the 10th of March in 1913.
Childhood
Harriet Tubman was one of eleven children of Harriet and Benjamin Ross. When she was still a child she was rented out as a nursemaid. That meant that she would have to stay up all night beside the cradle of the baby so that it would not wake the master and his wife. If she went to sleep on duty the babies’ mother would whip her. As a child, she was determined to get her freedom. One time a slave went to the store without permission, when he got back, his owner wanted to punish him and he ask Harriet to help him. She refused. The slave started to run off, so the master picked up a two pound weight and through it at him but he missed and hit Harriet instead. It nearly crushed her skull and she was unconscious for days. As a result of her injury she had seizures, spells of hypersomnia, headaches, powerful visionary and dream activity.
Marriage and her escape
She married a free slave named John Tubman and she took his last name. And not only did she change her last name when she got married she also changed her first to Harriet taking her mothers name. In 1849, Harriet became ill so her owner tried to sell her. As the people came to look at her to see if they wanted to buy her, she prayed that her master heart would be changed that way it would not split up her family. When she realized that her masters heart was not changing she quickly changed her prayers to, "Oh Lord, if you ain't never going to change that man's heart, kill him, Lord, and take him out of the way." A week later he died. In 1849 Harriet decided to escape, her husband would not come with them. So she and her brothers escaped and followed the North Star. Her brothers became scared and turned back but Harriet was determined to get her freedom. She found herself in Philadelphia where she found work as a housemaid, she saved her money so that she could return to free many more slaves.
Helping the slaves
She rescued lots of slaves and if any of them wanted to turn around she would pull out her gun and say "You'll be free or die a slave!" She helped three hundred slaves to freedom. She guided all her slaves to safety through the Underground Railroad. As Tubman herself said, "On my Underground Railroad I [never] run my train off [the] track [and] I never [lost] a passenger."
Civil War
During the Civil War she was a Union spy, cook and nurse. She was the first woman to lead an army. She saved many lives in the war. During the Civil War Harriet went on a gun ship. As they went up the river, Harriet looked at the plantation and she noticed that all the slaves hid in the bushes. When they saw the ship but do to a mysterious telegraph that was sent around that read something like Lincoln’s ships have come to set you free. The slaves started coming from all roads to get to the ship. When Harriet and the captain saw this, they sent the small boats to bring the slaves to the ship. When the boats were full, the slaves would not let the boat go to the ship for fear that they would be left behind. So the captain yelled to Harriet and told her "Moses, you’ll have to give’em a song." And she sang this,
"Of all the whole creation in the east or in the west, the glorious Yankee nation is greatest and the best. Come along! Come along! Don’t be alarmed Uncle Sam is rich enough to give you all a farm."
At the end of each verse the Negroes in their enthusiasm would throw up their hands and shout "Glory!" and at that opportunity the boats push off. She continued this until all the Negroes were safely aboard the ship.
I admire so many things about her. I like how she was true to her beliefs. I hope that I can be as determined as she is. I hope that if I ever get in a situation like she did, where I would have to put my life on the line for my country or for someone else, that I will be willing to do so. I learned so many things from her. The thing that I learned the most is that you can do what ever you want to, no matter what circumstance you are in.

How Would You Bind the Nation's Wounds After the Civil War?

I’m not sure what I would do. I think the first thing I would be sending as many boys home as possible. Then I would try to pay back all the many debts that the country owed. Then after that I think I would try to get all the taxes that go against the Constitution to be eliminated.

Mob Rule

If a man where to go around and threaten businesses that way he could get money, this is one form of mob rule. Another form of mob rule is if a town or city where to start making their own laws.
I’m going to use an analogy to compare fires to mob rule. Fires are like mob rule because they both have one hand that’s good and the other that’s bad and they do it in the same way.
When a fire goes through a forest like Yellow Stone it burns all the diseases and behind it, it leaves a rebirth for the plants and makes the forest stronger. When our nation was getting started it had mob rule but behind it, it left a birth of freedom, a new country, it swept away all the anarchy in the states.
But when a fire goes through a city or a neighborhood, it leaves destruction in its path. It takes lives, it bankrupts people and it does not make it stronger. When the saints were in Illinois, they where driven out by mob rule and in that instance people died and it did not make the state stronger. In my opinion it made it weaker.

The Hidden World

I like to write chapter books. Here is the first two paragraph of chapter one. It may not look like much but it gets more interesting in the other chapters. If you like the first two paragraph and you would like to read the rest of this chapter then Emil me at www.Ranasesmoon1@gmail.com.
Chapter 1
Moving In
"MOM, the house is too small!" Michael yelled. We had just moved to Idaho from Utah, before that it was Texas. As you may have guest we move a lot, for my dad’s job, usually. Only this time we moved more for my mom’s job. My mom’s job on the other hand moves with us, she gets animals from all over the world and nurses them back to heath. Her business is getting better and is growing, that’s why we moved this time for more land. So instead of big houses and a good size backyard, it’s a decent size house and endless backyard. Ok it’s 100 acres to be exactly.
My name is Amy farr I am 14, Lucy Farr is 4, Anastasia Farr or Anna for short she’s 6, Jon Farr is 8, Eric Farr is 13, and Michael Farr is 17. Michael takes us everywhere, us older ones, and he buys things for all my siblings. I love to play anything that involves moving around although I like to read fantasy, I know there are no such thing that includes ghosts, I love animals and I love helping my mom, well all of us do. Eric, he is the funniest of us all he reads everything and he wants to be a comedian when he grows up. Jon, he believes in all myths, legends, and especially ghosts, he is so gullible, he spends his time reading everything that involves myths and legends. Anna loves what every little girl like and does. Lucy tries to be just like Anna but Anna hates it. My mom home schools us, she thinks that the public schools are brain washing facilities, I think she is just plain loopy, although she does have her own business. My dad has worked countless jobs, he is planning to be self-sufficient and grow enough fruit to have a fruit stand every year.

Dear parents,

The war just gets worst aver minute. I have been shot in the upper right arm, I’m waiting for the surgeon to have time for me. It is look like I’ll have my arm amputated. Say hi to Mary and Joseph.
Your loving son, steve.

Pockets

In my pockets I keep many things. When I find something I’m looking for I slip it in my pocket till I put it away. When I go to Lagoon I keep money in my pocket but I always keep a few things in my pockets, unless it is not permitted at the place I’m going to. I always have rubber bans in my right pocket, to shoot my sisters if they’re bothering me, to shoot the moths in my house, in case I need them and for when me and my sister are having a rubber band war. In my left pocket, I have some bandages and an alcohol wipe. I keep those in my pocket because you just learn to keep bandages with you if all your siblings are younger and you are left to baby-sit them. Also in my left pocket I keep a pocketknife for apples and anything else I may need it for. There is one thing that I always have but it is not in my pockets it’s on my waist and wrist. A bungie cord that I wear like a belt and a watch that’s on my left wrist. That’s all I carry all the time.

Choosing the Wrong

Choosing the wrong can be so easy some times. When I was little I found out where my parents had hid Larisa’s and my gifts. I decided to tell Larisa where they were. I was going to have her go and see them and then she would tell me what they were. She got caught in the act and she got in trouble. She said that I had told her where the gifts were and had also told her to go look at them and then tell me what I got. I managed to get her to believe that I had no part in it and it was a figment of her imagination. I have regretted that for a long time. But at the time it was so easy.

The Sunflower

A man was walking down the road, and up to some dull ground. Where nothing was growing, all it was was a plot of ground with rocks, clay and soil. The previous week, he planted roses and other flowers right next to the dull ground that he’s at now. He had a small bag with him that was filled with seeds. Theses seeds where special, they where sunflower seeds. He threw these seeds on the ground and watered them so they would grow. I would often come and watch him. He would sit on a rock every day and talk to the sunflowers. He knew the sunflowers so well that he could understand what they said to him, if they chose to speak to him. I sat and watched them one day and found that unlike the other flowers the sunflower followed the sun. The gardener approached me with his can to water the flowers like he always did. I asked what does the flowers say to him. He said that some asked what they needed to do and some complained that they where not as pretty as the roses and others thank him for the many things he did for them. The years past and some died some never grew, some where eaten by birds, others were taken away by natural cases because they let go, some where over powered by weeds and the few that survived they produced seeds that way others could take their place.

How Can Veterans Benefit Our Youth Today

Today in this country we need heroes. People that have risked a lot of things for their country and maybe even there lives. People that have inspiring stories to tell. Most people think that we don’t have true heroes, but they are all around us, in our neighborhoods, in our churches and working regular jobs but most people don’t notice them, because they don’t look for them. Our youth today need veterans to inspire them, to teach them, to help, and to be their hero.
I knew a veteran once he never served on the battlefield but he is my hero. He would tell us inspiring stories and through those stories he would inspire me to do things for our country. People often wonder what our youth need. What they need is true heroes. Not a pop or a movie star because they are not true heroes. True heroes would be some one that cares about the country and the people in the country. A veteran fits that profile, so they are heroes.
Veterans help write history for the youth to read. The youth needs some one to look up to and some of those people are veterans. The reason they inspire is because they fight for a cause larger than themselves. They are great leaders through their actions. They are selfless, helpful and many more things. They go into war and give all they got but they come out with so much more. Through their stories they inspire many to do great things. The veterans benefit the youth by providing them with a safe country and people to look up to.
Veterans help our nation through service to our country and they help our youth in many ways. They inspire me to study hard so I might be a great leader some day. This is why veterans are my heroes.

No Title

I stare in horror
At the pages of my history book
I see all the wars
All the sorrow
That happened in the past
I wish that I could go back and stop it from happening
I know it’s impossible
I should keep studying
All the wars in the past
But so hard to see all the horror that lies there
In the past
In the civil war
The town watched the first battle
It is truly a miracle that the country survived
The war of the south must have been good
For it won the war
If you look at the past of this country
It is clear to see that are country would not exist if it wasn’t for God

Benjamin Franklin’s Childhood

He is famous for his newspaper and the kite and the key. His father made soap. He did not like the trade. He longed for the sea, but his father had lost one of his sons to the sea. He was an unusual boy in Boston. One day he amused his self by flying a kite. Then he tied the kite to a stick that was stuck in the ground. Then he went swimming. After a while he got kind of bored watching his kite so he got the kite down. He then held on to it and laid on his back. He learned by doing this the kite would pull him gently across the lake. So he told a boy to take his clothes to the other side of the lake. The boy did as Benjamin Franklin said to. He then got the kite and he laid on his back. He made it to the other side of the lake in no time safe and sound.

Is It Ever Wrong To Follow the Law, and If So, When and Why?

Yes, depending on the circumstances. If the law said that you could not have a religion then it’s fine to not follow the law. Or if it takes away your god given rights then I think it’s our right to not follow the law. In the Civil War and before then they broke the law to give the slaves their god given rights and their freedom. And we broke the law when we fought for our independence. If the law is wrong and goes against the commandments, then it is not wrong to break it. But you only break the law as a last resort.

The Bermuda Triangle

The Bermuda Triangle is also known as the Devil’s Triangle
The Bermuda Triangle is very interesting thing. It is said that many ships and airplanes go in but never come out. Some people said that in and near the Bermuda Triangle there’s lots of disappearances, when in actually is the same amount all over the world. Another interesting thing is that it is one of the only two places in the world that if you take a compass there it will point to true north. The USS Cyclops vanished in the Bermuda Triangle, it was a large ship that held 306 passengers and crew. Nobody has found a survivor, some debris or a body from the ship. There has also been airplanes that disappeared there, like flit 19. Five of the airplanes that disappeared they had radioed just before they vanished. The radio repot that they sent before they vanished said that they where lost. That was the last thing that anyone had herd of them. There was no debris found by the search parties. The last time that there was a disappearance that I could find was in 2001, they found a survivor from that one. It did not say rather it was a plan or a ship that disappeared in 2001.

Is Secession Constitutional?

I think that it depends on the circumstance. For example if congress were to pass a law that was unjust then I think they have the right to secession, or if the president decided during war to use the US troops for himself then I think that they have a right to Secession. Another is if the constitutional is no longer followed. Otherwise I think they have no right to secession. I think that right now they have the right to secession because they past a law that is unconstitutional in my opinion.

How do you make a decision?

I make many decisions every day in many different ways. Like every day I make the decision to get up in the morning. How I make that decision is I think that I must eat. Other ways I make decision is depending on what benefits me. Here’s a story of when I chose to do what benefits me to guide my decision. We where watching a move and I was saying what my favorite part was, when I messed up what I was saying. Instead of starting all over and looking like an idiot. So I said that kissing was dads favorite part. It got me out of looking like an idiot and I thought that it was not going to come back around but I was wrong. Two years later it came back around. Instead of my siblings saying Dad’s favorite part when people are kissing they say Alexa’s favorite part. And to this day they still do it. I also guide my decision by thinking what Christ would do. I go around and comment on every one every day because I think that Christ commented on others. In church one day as my mom and I were going home a lady was talking with my mom. I told the lady that here scarf was very pretty. I found out that she had knitted it. The following week I took my sisters home right after church. But my mom and Larisa stayed to tell my dad something. Well as they where siting that same lady came up to my mom. She told her that since I had liked her scarf so much, she had made me one. Now I often wear it to Polar Star in the winter. I have often commented on people’s hair and shoes and things. I do not expect anything in return and occasionally they will tell me that made them so happy. And occasionally they give me something in return for making their day. If you look at my two examples you will see when I think of others then good things happen and when I think of myself bad things happen.

My likes and dislikes

Is there some thing that you hate?
I hate when people tell me that I can’t do something. I also hate when people try to set people up.
I don’t have any animals that I hate, but I hate when my sisters put ice cubes down my back.
I like any sport besides softball. If you ask me to play then you can count me out. I like to sing. Just this last summer I went to BYU and met the Young Ambassador and went to their camp. I also love to ballroom dance. I also like to read. I love to climb trees, well actually, I like climbing anything. I also like prickly pears. For those that don’t know what that is, it is the fruit of cactus. It is as sweet as candy.

When evil is being done, is it right to react with evil?

NO! NO! and absolutely NO!!! You should not react with evil, because if you sit there and React with evil when evil is being done, then you are worse than the person who started the evil passing. Although if I was put in some situations then I’m pretty sure that I will not react with evil. If you react with evil then everything will end in tears, but if you don’t react with evil then everything will be hunky dory

NOBODY

Wherever you go there is always a person that is off by their selves or they are not talking to anyone and no one is talking to them. They are the nobodies. I have been the nobody many times. Some times we choose to be the nobody and some times we don’t. but the world calls them the nobodies because they think the nobody is not special and not worth their time. But I don’t think so. They are the kindest people in the room usually. They are understanding. They have the greatest ideas and some of the most interesting lives, if you can get them to open up. Not every one is a nobody if they are not joining in the games and activities. Not many of those nobodies are a nobody and the life of the party. But those that are, you would never know they are the life of the party unless you were with them all the time. Some people think they know what a nobody feels like, but they don’t unless they have been a nobody.

Is Compromise A Good Thing? Why or Why Not?

It can be depending on the circumstance and what you are doing. If you where to go and say you believe something and some one else believed the opposite and you make a compromise. Then that is not a good compromise. Now when my grandma was working for an insurance company, there was a company that had guard dogs and one of them got loose. It attacked a little girl. they came up with a good compromise that way nether of them have to go to court and spend money there. That is a good compromise. But in the end of that story the parents of the girl sued. So they did not accept the compromise.

Who do you think is a great leader? Why?

I think Hitler was a good leader but it was for a bad cause. He knew how to get people to see things his way. He knew how to take charge. He also had a clear vision of what he wanted to happen and he worked for it.
There is also the every day leaders like your parents, you, your friends and the people around you.
The greatest leader of them all is Christ. He was kind, loving, understanding and helped ever one. He also put the people in front of himself. He died for us and suffered for our sins. He is the best of all leaders
A leader can be any one no matter who they are or what they do,
it just depends on if they are willing to seize the moment.

So What Do You Think?

When you go to the bookstore or the library usually you take a book off the shelves and try to decide whether you want to read it or you don’t. Well what do you do to see if you want to read it? Do you look at the cover to see if it interests you? Do you just go down your favorite section and pull a random book and hope you will like it? Do you open the book to a random page and read a random line and if it is interesting you read it? Or you could look at the title and if it sounds interesting you read it. Also you might go to your friends and see what they liked and then read what they enjoy? Or do you read the back of the book to see what it is about? Well if you like the last one best then read this that is from a back of a book and tell me what you think of it.
The Farr family has just moved in to their new house in the middle of no where, where they’re trying to become self sufficient. There is a strange park across the street from them and then there is a forest that is huge with streams and rivers and the unknown. There are not many people who go back there, anymore. As they are playing, the ball goes in to the forest. Amy goes to get it, as she is looking, there is a strange sound and rustling in the bushes. She quickly grabs the ball. As she does, she swears she saw some one run and then duck behind a tree. Then later as they are playing in their house, Eric finds a hidden passage. A long time ago Amy has given up on miracles, ghosts and anything make believe, because it just isn’t real to her. Eric her younger brother has not given up on the idea yet but he still considers the idea that it’s not true. Is there a logical explanation, or are some of the greatest mysteries not all solved? If so, are some of them about to be discovered and solved by the Farr’s kids?

During the Sunset

The sun sets in the west and paints the mountains with many colors. As soon as the color reaches the mountains the angels appear, under the rainbow sky. They ride on their beautiful stallions to the west, to chase the sun. As the first stars appear they wish with every breath that they will make it to the sun. The whistling winds race past them, as they grow weary. As soon as the sun disappears behind the mountain, they are nowhere to be seen. For they rest on mounds, thorns, meadows and flowers. Some have lost their stallions as they traveled, so they walk. Some have lost their way, and some have joined them. No one knows where thy came from or where they’re going, or what they want. As soon as the sun rises and the lights touch the mountain they appear once more to follow the sun. As the stars and moon go to sleep and the sun wakens to light the world. But as soon as the rosy color has faded from the mountain once again they go and rest for the day, and watch the sun. But where ever they go they bless those around them. They have fought in all the good wars but are not what you and me would call wars. Some people call them the sun chasers, others light racers, others the rose walkers for they walk the earth when the sun paints the mountains a rosy color, and others angles of the earth. As for me I have no name for them. So in the end I will never know if they make it or not, but they bless those around them as they go.

Trees

When you go anywhere you see trees, now that is common thing to see, but do you think much about it. No, is the most common answer to this question, but is it the right answer. The dictionary says, "a woody plant that has a long main trunk and many branches. Trees usually grow quite tall." The dictionary tells us what it looks like and somewhat it feels like. What is the first thing you think of when some one says tree? Is your answer a type of tree, some thing that you can make money from, heat the house with or, is it something you don’t think about. Well if you don’t think much about it consider this, that trees provide some of the oxygen that we breathe. They keep us warm in some cases. They put a roof over our heads. They give us shade. They give us food. They give us a place to hide, To sit, To climb, To keep us safe. To float our boat and they give this world beauty. They give us every thing in a way. There is one tree that gives us the most precious gift of all and that’s the love of god. Now you may think that trees are not important but I do. I think that we are so blessed to have trees.

Letter about Speed Mitton

Dear Mariah
There is a sport that’s called speed mitten, have you ever heard of it? It is a cross between badminton and tennis, with some additional things of it’s own. The rackets are from tennis and the net is a badminton net. The birdie has a hole down the middle part of it. (Which is in the more ball part of the ball.) The game can also be played after dark. The hole in the birdie is for a small glow stick, that way you can see the ball. The rules are simple, if the ball goes out of bounds then the ball is out, if the ball lands on your side that’s the other teams point. The field is the same as the badminton field. The rules are the tennis and badminton rules. It’s for two and four players. That’s all you need to know to play the game.
P.S. you can buy a set on Ebay.

Blame Game

My family bought a game and it’s called the blame game. So one day I decided to read the instructions, to see how to play. The skill that you need is how to blame, the better you are at blaming the most likely that you will win. The game works like a tag in my understanding. What you do first is have a problem, for instance a bag was left out and your trying to figure out who did it. So you bring in the blame game. To play you take the big ball of blame and you blow it up. (the big ball of blame can be a ball that you bought at the store.) Then you blame it on some one and the ball goes to them. And they blame it on someone else and the ball goes to them. They can just throw it in someones room and walk off. How the game ends is when some one says I take the blame. And that’s the end.

w

Have you ever been to white sands national park? I have, it looks like a desert that some one had bleached. You can find things in the sand that people left there. When I went there I found a plastic easter egg full of money. It is fun to slide down the mounds of white sands. It all sure looks like snow. Through the whole thing I felt like I had large heavy stones in my many pockets. The two pockets that are at your waist on these pants, went clear down to your knees. When it was time to go we emptied our pockets to get all the sand out, because you are not allowed to take any sand home. Well when I emptied my pockets I still felt like I was weighted down so I emptied all my pockets again and I still felt weighted down. So I did not think anything about it till we got to the hotel. When I got there I was really surprised to find that I left a trail of sand. When I was getting into my PJs I found out that my two larger pockets where filled with sand. I realized that I forgot those pockets. So know I have a yogurt cup full of sand, that is from seven years ago.

How to Eliminate Stress

Have you ever had trouble with these things? You tend to get distracted, where did I put that, what should I write next, what should I do, what was I doing, have trouble thinking or what comes next? Well you are not alone. There are more then you can count that ask these same questions. I have found many solutions and I know that you have to. If you are saying no in your head, then you have found them but you just don’t realize it. If you are saying yes in your head, well done, you have found one or more solutions out of millions of them. I will tell you some of them that I know. Read, hum, walk, jog, play, laugh, sing, eat, cook, stretch, and one of the more famous ones sleep. But chewing gum seems to work the best for me. Now the reason sleeping is a common thing to help you with the questions above and others, is it relaxes you quite well. Now you may think why would relaxing help with those types of things? It is because when you are stressed your mind works slowly, when you are relaxed it runs faster because it has less to do. For example if you where on a old computer and you have ten things running then the computer slows down, that’s if you are stressed. Now if one thing is going then it runs fast, that it is relaxed. What helps you with the questions above?

Diet

I am trying to go on a diet that my mom is trying, it is called Daniel’s challenge. It is really interesting because it has a lot to do with the word of wisdom. For instance it talks about how the health board has ties with the food industry. It also says that when the food board came out with the food pyramid that the candy people threatened that if they did not increase the amount of sugar they would do something that would affect them. I don’t know what though. And then in the scriptures it warns you of conspiring men and that is what is happening. And if you look at the word of wisdom and the diet you will see they go hand and hand.

Tae Kwon Do

I used to take tae kwon do. One of my best friends that I know took karate and he used to show the other girls and me in my class, some of the things that he knows. When I found out that tae kwon has some similar moves as karate. In tae kwon do one of the things that they did was sparring and that is so much fun. My first master did not let his students spar until they where brown belts so I worked really hard to get a brown belt but when I had got my green belt we moved back to Utah where I met master Marlo. He had you learn sparring when you where yellow belt. (The first belt you get is white then it’s yellow.) so I happily signed up to go to his class.
Now I will tell you how to spar. (CAUTION DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME, IT COULD RESULT IN SERIOUS INJURY.) The fist thing is to buy special armor that is made for sparing and a mouth guard. Then you and your opponent puts it on. You play it on a pad that is red and blue.

There are three blue squares that are in the middle of the mat. the ref stands on one and the two opponent sands on the other and they face each other. The two opponents have on their armor two different colors on each side of their armor; the colors are blue and red. One of them would have it on red and their opponent would have blue. Now the ref puts his arm in between them and says something but I can’t remember, but I do know that it is sort of like, are you ready sort of thing. Then when he asks you, you sort of yell as loud as you can. (If you have watched any marshal arts and they yell that is what it is.) Then he moves his arm and the game begins, the ref also moves off the mat and stand a round the mat waiting for a penalty or some one to step off the mat. The rules are that you stay on the mat, you can’t kick them if they are on the ground and you can’t trip your a opponent or kick them below the waist. If you go off the mat then they take you to the middle of the mat and start you again. I do not know what happens if you break the other rules, because it dosn't happen very often. To get points you kick them on the big circles on there armor, that is one point for every kick. Depending on your belt and age there are head kicks, there are two different kinds there are light contact (that means that if you barely hit it with your foot, it counts, and if you hit it hard you are penalized.) And there is just regular (that means as hard as you want.) There are three judges that decide the points, they sit around the mat. Who ever has the most points at the end of time wins the game. One time I beat a black belt five to nothing.

My Costume

I decided to dress up for a Halloween Party this year. I was trying to decide what to dress up as. I decided that I would be a wood elf, which I would create. So first I had to pick the colors of my costume and I decided on green and brown. Then I thought that I would have a cape that was green, now the material would be that kind that feels like felt that is kind of ruff on one side and was like any other material on the other side. The color of green it would be is a very dark forest green. The cape would also have a hood. The top would be short sleeves and would be like any other top. It would be a dark green but not as dark as the cape. The shorts would be a light color of green with a brown belt. It would have a brown X like the red coats had. Now these straps carried a number of things. One held a side bag to the waist and the other held like a pipe like container on the back. The weapons that would be carried would be a walking stick that could be used as a bow staff. The second weapon would be a bow and some arrows, that would be kept in the pipe like container. The third thing which some would carry and some did not is a whip which was kept on the opposite side of the pack, which would be attached to the belt. The last thing is daggers that would be hidden where they see fit. Their shoes, if they had some, would most likely be made of leather. They preferred to go bare feet.

NOT: this is also one of the characters that is in my book that I am writing.
