Trees
When you go anywhere you see trees, now that is common thing to see, but do you think much about it. No, is the most common answer to this question, but is it the right answer. The dictionary says, "a woody plant that has a long main trunk and many branches. Trees usually grow quite tall." The dictionary tells us what it looks like and somewhat it feels like. What is the first thing you think of when some one says tree? Is your answer a type of tree, some thing that you can make money from, heat the house with or, is it something you don’t think about. Well if you don’t think much about it consider this, that trees provide some of the oxygen that we breathe. They keep us warm in some cases. They put a roof over our heads. They give us shade. They give us food. They give us a place to hide, To sit, To climb, To keep us safe. To float our boat and they give this world beauty. They give us every thing in a way. There is one tree that gives us the most precious gift of all and that’s the love of god. Now you may think that trees are not important but I do. I think that we are so blessed to have trees.

When I think of all the uses of trees, one of the most important really can't be seen unless you have studies about trees. I think people are like that too. Often we can't see the really important things about a person until we know them better.
I love trees! I loved it when we lived in the Midwest and there were so many big trees. We had a huge Maple tree in our yard that would shower us with leaves every fall. When we raked them up the pile came all the way up over our kids, standing up.
I really always think of them as dryad's homes and I never want to cut any of them down. I don't know if you've ever read Prince Caspian but in the book (not the movie so much) you really get a feel for how amazing trees are. Also I like the Ents in the Lord of the Rings. Trees really are old and wise.
